Giuliana Cunéaz Brings New Media Art to Italy with Wunderkammer Digitale
Giuliana Cunéaz, born in Aosta in 1959, is a trailblazer in Italy's New Media Art scene. Her exhibition, Wunderkammer Digitale, is currently on display at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale della Lomellina within Vigevano's Castello Sforzesco, and will continue until December 15. The showcase includes Matter Waves Unseen, which features clay sculptures and 3D animations alongside Roman relics from the Collezione Strada. A graduate of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Torino, Cunéaz began her journey with 3D graphics in 2004 and recently earned the Primo Premio del Pubblico at the Opline Prize International. She investigates nanomolecular structures and employs AI to create intentional 'errors.' Additionally, she has worked with the Museo Archeologico di Aosta and co-organized Glassway in 2002. Cunéaz's work, Quantum Quirks, is set to be exhibited in Singapore during the Formula 1 Grand Prix in October 2024.
