Giulia Floris curates Lab1 non-profit spaces at ArtVerona 2021

ArtVerona, running from October 15 to 17, 2021, features Lab1, a curated section by Giulia Floris dedicated to seven non-profit spaces from across Italy: BRACE BRACE (Milan), In situ (Rome), Mucho Mas! (Turin), La Portineria (Florence), Post Disaster (Taranto), SenzaBagno (Pescara), and Spazio Volta (Bergamo). Each space developed a project in dialogue with an institutional residency program, centered on the theme of hospitality. Floris, who founded the research platform Cluster Report in 2017 and co-published the volume "Italian Cluster" in 2018, selected new and emerging realities to reflect the national independent scene. The projects, conceived during the 2020 lockdown, emphasize collaboration and process. ArtVerona has long supported non-profit spaces, aiming to provide a comprehensive view of the art system beyond commercial interests.
