Giulia Cenci, Tomaso De Luca, and Renato Leotta are the three finalists for the second edition of the MAXXI Bvlgari Prize, succeeding the earlier Premio MAXXI. The prize now targets both Italian and foreign artists who have produced a project in Italy within the last two years at public or private institutions. The winner will be announced in October 2020, with their work acquired by the museum. The exhibition of site-specific works, curated by Giulia Ferracci, opens on May 7, 2020. Renato Leotta (b. 1982, Turin) lives in Acireale; his work focuses on sea and garden as poetic themes.
