Girls Aloud's Nicola Roberts welcomes first child

Nicola Roberts, aged 40 and a member of Girls Aloud, revealed the arrival of her first child, a daughter, through social media. The baby was born healthy at 38 weeks and is doing well. Roberts posted images of herself with the newborn and her partner, Mitch Hahn, a former non-league footballer, holding the baby in a car seat. She expressed that the moment felt like 'heaven on earth.' Well-wishes poured in from celebrities such as Sophie Ellis-Bextor, AJ Odudu, Katie Piper, Michelle Keegan, and her bandmate Nadine Coyle. The couple's daughter was welcomed a few weeks ago. This announcement follows Girls Aloud's upcoming UK and Ireland reunion tour in 2024, their first in over 11 years, honoring late member Sarah Harding, who passed away from cancer in 2021 at 39. The group, formed in 2002 on Popstars: The Rivals, released five studio albums and won a BRIT Award in 2009. In addition to her band work, Roberts has also ventured into solo music and theater, recently performing in the West End production of Hadestown last year.
