Girard Throw Returns in Three New Patterns from Archival Designs
MillerKnoll has unveiled three new variations of the iconic Girard Throw Blanket, first created by artist Alexander Girard in the 1960s for Braniff International Airways. This initiative saw collaboration with Girard’s granddaughters, Aleishall Girard Maxon and Kori Girard, who lead Girard Studio. The new designs are inspired by Girard's rich archive and are being crafted by Pendleton, an esteemed American textile manufacturer admired by Girard himself.
