Giovanni Veronesi curates 10th Festa del Cinema di Mare in Castiglione della Pescaia

The Festa del Cinema di Mare is gearing up for its 10th edition in Castiglione della Pescaia, Tuscany, set for August 23 to 27, 2025, with Giovanni Veronesi leading the event. Founded by Claudio Carabba, the festival offers a range of screenings, talks, and activities. Among the expected guests are Geppi Cucciari, Ambra Angiolini, and Beppe Fiorello, among others. Veronesi, who has deep roots in the Maremma region, focuses on quality and ensures there are no costs for participants. The event will present the Premio Mauro Mancini for European short films about the sea, along with the Premio Guido Parigi, decided by a youth jury. Veronesi sees this festival as a chance for filmmakers to reflect before heading to the Venice Film Festival. Additionally, "No More Trouble," directed by Romanelli, will debut on August 17, touching on themes of memory and loss.
