Giovanni Ozzola's 'I miei orizzonti e Tu' Opens at Villa Marigola for Lerici Music Festival

Curated by Carlo Orsini, the exhibition 'I miei orizzonti e Tu' by Giovanni Ozzola (born 1982, Florence) is on view at Villa Marigola in Lerici, Italy, in collaboration with Galleria Continua. The show coincides with the tenth edition of the Lerici Music Festival (July 22 – August 2, 2026). Ozzola's works include photographs such as 'Untitled – with you' and 'A mani vuote di te' (2026), ranging from intimate close-ups to seascapes, and the video 'Sin tiempo/Timeless' (2017), which features a man on the horizon using the whistled language 'silbo gomero' from La Gomera in the Canary Islands (UNESCO intangible heritage since 2012). The exhibition explores the relationship between the individual and the collective, the visible and the unseen, with nautical bells inscribed with phrases and words meaningful to the artist. Orsini referenced Georges Didi-Huberman's 1992 publication 'Ce que nous voyons, ce qui nous regarde' during the presentation.
