Giovanni Giaretta's 'Altrove e altri canti' at Galleria Tiziana Di Caro

Giovanni Giaretta (born 1983 in Padua) presents 'Altrove e altri canti' at Galleria Tiziana Di Caro in Naples. The exhibition title evokes an elegiac journey through linguistic nuances referencing memorial, mental, and interstitial atmospheres. The show opens with the digital drawing series 'Elsewhere and Other Islands,' featuring manipulated and stripped-down island forms. In the second room, these works break out of frames into large wall paintings that transform the space into an island, creating a perceptual shift and an ivory-toned atmosphere for contemplating possible elsewhere. The first two rooms also display photos and texts that reference the video work 'Words Words Words Are Decorative Sound' in the final room. All works were created in the last two years, fusing different cultural levels—music, intimate memory, and pedagogical economy from early education—that represent what we are, communicate, and know. The exhibition is curated by Antonello Tolve, who holds the chair of Pedagogy and Didactics of Art at the Accademia Albertina di Torino.
