Giovanni Caccamo's docufilm 'Parola ai giovani' premieres at MUSMA Matera
Giovanni Caccamo, an artist from Modica born in 1990, launched 'Parola ai giovani' in response to Andrea Camilleri's call regarding the significance of words. This initiative features a youth competition, developed in partnership with the Vatican Museums and MAXXI, and is backed by Banca Ifis, Pulsee Luce e Gas, and Alessia Zanelli. Participants addressed two questions focused on societal transformation. Outcomes include a docufilm titled 'Manifesto del cambiamento,' which has a preface by Pope Francis, presented on October 26 at Palazzo Madama, and the 'Muro del cambiamento' installation. Directed by Angelo Bozzolini, the docufilm debuted at Giornate degli Autori. The installation is set to open on December 2, 2023, at MUSMA in Matera, with no admission fee.
