Giosetta Fioroni transforms Legnano palace facade into Advent calendar
Flavio Arensi, who heads the museums in Legnano, has kicked off the second edition of the Legnano Advent Calendar, showcasing the work of Giosetta Fioroni, born in Rome in 1932. After Velasco Vitali's edition in 2017, Fioroni has turned a historic building in Piazza San Magno into a giant Advent calendar, unveiling new sections each day from December 1 to 24, and it will be up until January 7, 2019. A key member of the Scuola di Piazza del Popolo, she has worked alongside artists like Franco Angeli and Mario Schifano. Her art often weaves in literary themes and fairy tale elements, with this calendar featuring scenes inspired by various authors and her beloved pets.
