Giornate degli Autori 2021 Announces 18th Edition Lineup at Venice Film Festival
The 18th edition of the Giornate degli Autori, an autonomous section within the Venice Film Festival, will take place from September 1 to 11, 2021, under the artistic direction of Gaia Furrer. The program includes 10 feature films in competition and 6 special events. The opening film is Andrea Segre's 'Welcome Venice', set in the city. A pre-opening honors filmmakers Valentina Pedicini and Cecilia Mangini. Director Citto Maselli will be celebrated with a special ceremony on September 5 at the Palazzo del Cinema. The jury is presided over by Mina Mileva and Vesela Kazakova, whose latest film premiered at Cannes' Un Certain Regard.
