Giorgio Valentini's Debut Painting Exhibition at Palazzo Bracci Pagani

Giorgio A. F. Valentini (Fano, 1948), a longtime animator and collaborator of Bruno Bozzetto, presents his first solo painting exhibition at Palazzo Bracci Pagani in Fano, Italy. After nearly three years of silent work, Valentini reinvents himself as a pyrotechnic painter at age 73. The show, titled 'Contemporanei sognatori,' features large-scale mixed-media portraits of famous contemporary artists including Sonia Delaunay, Maurizio Cattelan, Max Ernst, Sandro Chia, Anselm Kiefer, Gino De Dominicis, Jenny Saville, Kazimir Malevich, Giosetta Fioroni, Henri Matisse, and others. Valentini uses an innovative technique: he dilates photographic images, colors them with acrylics on canvas, plywood, or paper, adds photocopied elements, digitalizes, prints in large format (up to 200x200 cm) on communication panels, forex, canvas, masonite, metal, or plywood, then reworks and adds relief details, often playful noses in papier-mâché or clay. The exhibition is described as spectacular, engaging, and educational, helping viewers distinguish between artists like Warhol and Haring, Pollock and Rothko, Pistoletto and Burri, Chagall and Picasso. The show runs during the early winter cold at Palazzo Bracci Pagani.
