Giorgio Tentolini's 'Diacronie' Opens at Galleria Russo in Rome

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Giorgio Tentolini, born in Casalmaggiore in 1978, launched his solo exhibition titled 'Diacronie' at Galleria Russo in Rome on January 30, 2021. He creatively reinterprets materials such as metal nets, tulle, and paper to form sculptural representations of classical statues found in Roman museums. Tentolini explains, "The net serves as a filter, a trap that confines classical ideals." The exhibition features faces of models that embody abstract notions of beauty. The concept of 'diacronia' is artistically represented through images that span different eras. Two paintings showcase the Colosseum and the Pantheon. At the same time, he debuted a solo exhibition at Gallery Estella in New Orleans, accompanied by a catalog featuring over fifty pieces, with an introduction by curator Alberto Dambruoso. Upcoming exhibitions include Giacomo Balla in late February and Piero Gilardi in April.
