Giorgio Pace launches Der Pavilion cultural platform in St. Moritz
Giorgio Pace, who parted ways with longtime partner Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte in summer 2025, is launching Der Pavilion, a new permanent cultural platform in St. Moritz opening January 29, 2026. The initiative breaks from the ephemeral art fair model by offering four-week exhibition formats inspired by artist residencies, aiming to foster sustained dialogue between artists, designers, collectors, and the local community. The first edition will take place in the former Hotel Eden, currently under renovation, with plans for a permanent venue to become a year-round creative hub in the Engadin region. The program spans contemporary art, design, and author jewelry, including a lyrical performance at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel in collaboration with a historic Italian theater, and a flower-and-garden exhibition developed with local artisans and horticulturists. Pace describes Der Pavilion as a 'movement' that will grow throughout the year, integrating art, design, and mountain life while connecting local and international networks.
