Giorgio Morandi Retrospective at Palazzo Reale in Milan

Currently, Palazzo Reale in Milan is hosting a significant retrospective of Giorgio Morandi (Bologna, 1890–1964), marking three decades since the last major exhibition in the city. Curated by Maria Cristina Bandera, the exhibit showcases 150 pieces spanning Morandi's 50-year artistic journey, arranged thematically and chronologically. Supported by the Comune di Milano and produced by Civita Mostre e Musei in partnership with 24 ORE Cultura and the Museo Morandi in Bologna, the display features renowned still lifes and Grizzana landscapes. Noteworthy works include paintings from Gam di Torino (1935) and Palazzo Pitti (1942), as well as watercolors and engravings. Additionally, a recording from July 13, 1955, for The Voice of America is highlighted, emphasizing Morandi's reflections on time and duality.
