Giorgio Marrocco Opens New Gallery in Naples' Historic Center

Giorgio Marrocco has opened a new gallery at Via Benedetto Croce 19 in Naples, inside Palazzo Venezia, a 15th-century neoclassical building with 18th-century yellow and blue maiolica tiles. The gallery focuses on emerging Italian artists and aims to become a reference point for contemporary art in Naples while fostering international exchange. Marrocco, who studied art history and gained experience at Galerie Di Méo in Paris, previously ran events in Rome and Naples and had a space in Cassino in 2019 before moving to Naples. The gallery collaborates with curator Letizia Mari, born in 1994, who studied sculpture at Accademia di Brera and earned a master's in Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies at NABA. The space, located on Spaccanapoli, targets both the general public and art professionals.
