Giorgio de Chirico's Timeless Universe at Castello di Desenzano

The Castello di Desenzano del Garda hosts 'Giorgio de Chirico. Un mondo senza tempo' until October 4, 2026. Curated by Giordano Bruno Guerri and organized by Il Cigno Arte, the exhibition explores the 'Return to Order' movement through about twenty masterpieces by de Chirico and works by contemporaries such as Alberto Savinio, Filippo de Pisis, Mario Tozzi, Mario Sironi, and Achille Funi. It also traces de Chirico's influence on later artists like Mario Schifano and Gino De Dominicis. The show includes archival materials, including set designs for 'La figlia di Iorio' from the Vittoriale degli Italiani, letters to Nino Bertoletti, and photographs by Claudio Abate and Mario Dondero. The exhibition runs from May 17 to October 4, 2026, with visiting hours from Tuesday to Thursday 9:30-12:30 and Friday to Sunday 9:30-18:30.
