Giorgio Armani reissues 13 iconic looks from 1979–1994 via Armani/Archivio

other · 2026-04-21

Giorgio Armani launched the Armani/Archivio project in August 2024 to digitize an impressive archive of more than 200 collections and 30,000 items. The initiative will showcase a reissue of 13 classic pieces for both men and women, dating from 1979 to 1994. The campaign is photographed by Eli Russell Linnetz, a designer and artist from Venice, Los Angeles. Some highlights include a collarless blazer from Spring/Summer 1979, a broad-shouldered blouson from 1983, and menswear staples like a leather jacket and a three-piece suit from Spring/Summer 1990. After Armani’s death in September 2025, searches on Vinted tripled, and The RealReal saw a 212% spike. An Instagram account, @myarmaniarchive, has over 30,000 followers, and a special event series will be hosted at the Giorgio Armani boutique in Milan.
