Giorgia Boldrini appointed director of Bologna's Civic Museums
In June 2025, Giorgia Boldrini, who hails from Emilia-Romagna and holds a DAMS degree along with a master's from the Scuola Superiore di Studi Umanistici di Bologna, was appointed as the Director of the Settore Musei Civici di Bologna. Her professional journey began in 2000 as a librarian, and she subsequently took on various cultural positions, including the launch of the Incredibol project in 2009. Since 2021, she has been leading the Settore Cultura e Creatività, emphasizing urban regeneration through culture. On June 16, she also became Capo Dipartimento Cultura, responsible for culture, museums, and libraries, with plans to tackle overtourism and gentrification while enhancing Bologna's civic museums and events such as Cinema Ritrovato and Bologna Estate.
