Gilla Band Returns with New Single 'Giraffe' and 2027 Tour

After a four-year hiatus, Dublin rock band Gilla Band has released a new single titled 'Giraffe'. The band, known for their unclassifiable sound blending post-punk and noise-rock, consists of Dara Kiely (vocals), Alan Duggan (guitar), Daniel Fox (bass), and Adam Faulkner (drums). The single explores emotional inner life, with Kiely describing feelings of being unloved and struggling to express thoughts, while the outro offers a glimmer of affirmation that affection exists, though hard to believe. The track is expected to be featured on their 2027 tour, which includes two dates in Germany. Their previous album 'Most Normal' (2022), the first since renaming from Girl Band, pushed rock boundaries, and 'Giraffe' extends further toward the sonic edge.
