Gianluca Brando's Fog Ritual at Spazio Taverna

exhibition · 2026-04-27

On February 21, 2021, Gianluca Brando (born 1990 in Maratea) presented a one-night-only experiential artwork at Spazio Taverna in Rome. Created in collaboration with interpreter Victoria Carli, the piece was designed for two participants at a time, who entered a fog-filled first room that obscured vision, turning the space into an unknown environment. A second room was divided by a metal mesh, forcing the couple to take separate paths. The ritualistic experience repeated the same gestures across multiple pairs in a limited, independent timeframe.
