Giacomo Giannini's aerial photos become Seletti rugs

architecture-design · 2026-05-20

Seletti has transformed three aerial photographs by Giacomo Giannini into limited-edition rugs. Giannini shot Italy from a zenithal perspective between 1985 and 1992, making landscapes abstract. Stefano Seletti and gallerist Paola Sosio selected images from his archive: 'Holiday at the Seaside #18' (a crowded beach as a chromatic grid), 'Sfasciacarrozze' (a scrapyard as formal order), and 'Basket' (an empty basketball court). Each rug measures 280×200 cm, in an edition of 30 numbered copies. The project debuted at The Phair photography fair at OGR in Turin, May 22–24, 2026. Seletti's brand identity blurs design, art, and pop culture.
