festival-fair · 2026-04-20

The final edition of the triennale series, Ghost 2568: Wish We Were Here, took place in Bangkok from 15 October to 16 November 2025, under the curation of Amal Khalaf. The event delved into themes of alienation and overlooked histories. The opening featured a performance by Senyawa alongside Dan Lie's installation, Patience (2025). Video presentations included works such as Stephanie Comilang's Search for Life II (2025), Ho Tzu Nyen's Phantoms of Endless Day (2025), and a trilogy by Shahryar Nashat. At the Jim Thompson Art Center, Mekh Limbu showcased Chotlung (2025), highlighting Yakthung textiles and protest films, while Komtouch Napattaloong's film addressed Thailand's rubber history. Notable moments included Shuddhabrata Sengupta's lecture performance and Koki Tanaka's Activating Archive (2025). Established in 2018, the triennale wrapped up with contributions from Korakrit Arunanondchai and Christina Li, although some events faced postponements due to the passing of Thailand's Queen Mother.
