Gessi unveils world-first overhead steam system at Milan Design Week 2026

At Milan Design Week 2026, Italian manufacturer Gessi debuted Rituale del Vapore, the world's first overhead steam system for domestic showers. The system requires no structural alterations or dedicated plumbing rooms, transforming standard showers into spa spaces. It integrates chromotherapy and aromatherapy, with a Steam + Intenso Flow version adding laminar water flow. The innovation is demonstrated at Casa Gessi Milano through the Longevity Ritual Path. CEO Gian Luca Gessi leads the company's focus on bathroom as a site for self-care, expressed in the Casa Gessi Haute Culture concept. Also debuting is the PerSempre collection, reinterpreting steel through haute horology and jewelry, displayed at Casa Gessi Haute Culture on Via Manzoni 17. The showroom's lower level features a Finishings Boutique with material samples in vitrines. Gessi Kitchen expands with the Essenza multi-function system delivering chilled, room temperature, sparkling, and boiling water, and the Vita Gessi Caffè system now includes an 'Infusion' function for herbal infusions. The event runs April 20-26, 2026.
