Géographies#3 Group Exhibition at Galerie Chantal Crousel

exhibition · 2026-04-23

From October 31 to December 4, 2003, Galerie Chantal Crousel in Paris hosted a group exhibition titled Géographies#3, featuring five artists: Susanne Bürner (Berlin), Fikret Atay (Kurdish), the Dutch duo Jeroen de Rijke and Willem de Rooij, Jean-Luc Moulène, and Mélik Ohanian. Ohanian presented an elongated wooden sculpture that was part of a broader installation created in spring 2003. De Rijke and De Rooij's 35mm film, 'The Point of Departure,' examined patterns on a Caucasian carpet, eventually leading to a void reminiscent of '2001: A Space Odyssey.' Bürner's video portrayed intimate moments interrupted by fluttering curtains, while Moulène's photographs explored themes of disappearance, and Atay's 'Fast and Best' offered a critique of power through folk dance. Catherine Francblin reviewed the exhibition.
