Genoa's ABC-ARTE Gallery Opens Milan Outpost

ABC-ARTE, a contemporary art gallery from Genoa, has opened a second location in Milan named ABC-ARTE ONE OF. The new space is located at via Santa Croce 21, in a pedestrian zone next to the Basilica of Sant'Eustorgio, near the Museo Diocesano and the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro. The gallery has previously collaborated with Arnaldo Pomodoro on a major solo exhibition in Genoa featuring over thirty sculptural works. The Milanese venue is designed to host one artwork per room, selected by curators and artists, to focus visitors on key works. The inaugural exhibition, titled "How to Paint," features Jerry Zeniuk (born 1945 in Bardowick), a founding figure of analytical painting, opening on January 19, 2023. Gallery director Antonio Borghese stated that Milan is the city where he grew up and maintains strong ties with collectors, curators, artists, and friends of ABC-ARTE. The name "ONE OF" reflects the gallery's commitment to a plurality of experiences. The program will include site-specific shows connected to Genoa initiatives. ABC-ARTE's core mission involves supporting emerging artists and researching 20th-century international masters, particularly gestural abstraction, and each cultural project is accompanied by a publication in the ABC-ARTE series.
