Genoa clothing store Lucarda hosts contemporary art exhibition until January 2026

exhibition · 2026-05-01

Lucarda, a historic clothing shop established in Genoa in 1920, remains a vital hub for maritime workers. Currently, it is presenting an art exhibition titled 'I haven't known the silence of the stars and of the sea', which will be open until January 31, 2026. Located at Via Sottoripa, 62r, this venue is undergoing transformation into a museum under the direction of artist Giorgio Cellini and anthropologist Elena Scovazzi. Featured artists include Cellini, Daniele Coppola, Andrea Croce, and Marco Strappato, who drew inspiration from the Musei del Mare di Genova, blending themes of navigation, migration, and local history into their works.
