Generations Group Exhibition at Galleria Marignana in Venice

The Galleria Marignana in Venice hosts 'Generations', a group exhibition featuring five female artists born between the 1970s and 1980s: Sophie Ko, Silvia Inselvini, Serena Fineschi, Silvia Infranco, and Verónica Vázquez. The show explores the dual themes of time and gesture. Sophie Ko uses iridescent butterfly pollen to create works hovering between vanitas and eternity. Silvia Inselvini employs ritualistic and obsessive gestures, using Staedtler pens on leaden sheets and colored fabric spirals. Serena Fineschi engages with historical legacy, referencing Lorenzetti and using gold leaf on Ferrero Rocher wrappers and chewing gum to evoke primitive chromatic force. Silvia Infranco's work involves destructive water action pacified by wax preservation. Verónica Vázquez presents rusty objects entangled in light threads, symbolizing material decay over time. The exhibition is curated by Arianna Testino, who holds degrees in art history from DAMS Bologna and IUAV Venice, and worked in the arts from 2015 to June 2023.
