Gender Bender Festival Returns to Bologna with Interdisciplinary Program
From October 31 to November 9, 2024, Bologna will host the 22nd edition of Gender Bender, an international festival focused on body and gender, curated by Daniele Del Pozzo and Mauro Meneghelli. The lineup includes dance, visual arts, cinema, and literature, featuring premieres from German choreographers James Batchelor, Margarida Alfeirão, and Moritz Ostruschnjak, as well as 'Reface' by the French group Les Idoles and Gaetano Palermo's 'The Garden.' In Rome, 'Notte Morricone' by CCN/Aterballetto, choreographed by Marcos Morau, is showing until November 10. Milan's Teatro Studio Melato will host 'Altri libertini' until November 3, while 'Roberto Zucco' in Genoa and Arturo Cirillo's 'Don Giovanni' in Naples are both running until November 10. 'Uno spettacolo italiano' premieres in Modena on November 7.
