Gemma Testa on Supporting Artists During Lockdown

Gemma De Angelis Testa, president of the Associazione Acacia, discusses her art collecting during the 2020 lockdown in an interview with Artribune. She purchased works by Frank Ackermann and Yoan Capote early in the year before the pandemic hit, preferring in-person viewing. Testa missed international art events and fairs, which she considers vital for networking and staying updated. She completed her autobiography "Gemma De Angelis. Con l’arte…in Testa" (published by Allemandi) during isolation. She calls for more investment in artists and collaboration between private and public sectors for recovery.
