Geely Presents Interactive Installation 'Anima Mundi' at Milan Design Week 2026

exhibition · 2026-03-24

During Milan Design Week 2026, Geely Auto unveiled an immersive installation titled 'Anima Mundi. A Visionary Impulse' at the Fondazione Istituto dei Ciechi in the Porta Venezia Design District. The interactive experience, created by the studio Dotdotdot, ran from April 19 to 26. Inspired by the philosophical concept of anima mundi, the installation featured five monumental veils that responded to visitor presence, generating real-time imagery and soundscapes. Attendees actively shaped the environment, with each interaction altering the audiovisual ecosystem. Laura Dellamotta, co-founder of Dotdotdot, emphasized the site-specific nature of the work, where the space itself becomes central. Sound played a crucial role, starting with a deep, constant pulse to evoke emotional rather than rational perception. As visitors moved through, layered sounds intensified, creating a fully immersive experience. The project aligns with Geely's 'Technological Renaissance' philosophy, which views innovation as a culturally driven, human-centered process. Here, technology serves as a connective medium between species, environments, and timeframes, promoting conscious, relational design. The installation also debuted the new Geely E2 vehicle in Italy, integrating it as a symbol of sustainable, accessible, and emotionally resonant mobility. 'Anima Mundi' extends beyond exhibition format to provoke reflection on the interplay between technology, nature, and design, advocating for coexistence and balance.
