Geberit's RŌS installation transforms water engineering into immersive art at Milan Design Week 2026

During Milan Design Week 2026, sanitary product manufacturer Geberit unveiled RŌS, an immersive installation created by Swiss design studio atelier oï. The work transforms technical water systems into sensory art through 300 stainless-steel springs guiding droplets in choreographed movements. Presented at the newly opened Geberit Experience Center in Milan's Tortona District from April 20-26, 2026, the installation explores the theme Flow.Form.Function. Atelier oï co-founder Aurel Aebi described the project as balancing control with organic freedom, while Geberit's Head of Design Christoph Behling discussed how water dynamics influence design. The installation poetically translates Geberit's SuperTube wastewater system, revealing how engineering principles can create aesthetic experiences. The Experience Center, designed by Ippolito Fleitz Group, serves as a laboratory for architects and designers to explore integrated systems. RŌS demonstrates how functional water management can evolve into emotional and symbolic expression.
