Gazelli Art House Buys Former Marlborough Gallery in Chelsea for $7.5M, Opens with 'Put the Kettle On'

Gazelli Art House has acquired the previous site of Marlborough Gallery at 545 West 25th Street in New York for $7.5 million, marking its first permanent establishment in the U.S. This 10,000-square-foot space is expected to open its doors during Armory Week in September 2026, featuring its inaugural exhibition titled 'Put the Kettle On,' which runs from September 23 to October 31, 2026, with a preview on September 22. Artists such as Agil Abdullayev, Memo Akten, and Derek Boshier will be showcased, focusing on tea culture in London and Baku. Marlborough Gallery closed after 78 years of operation in 2024, with its last exhibition occurring in June 2024. Mila Askarova founded Gazelli in 2010.
