Gauguin documentary 'The Lost Paradise' hits Italian cinemas March 25-27

A new documentary film titled 'Gauguin a Tahiti. Il paradiso perduto' will be released in Italian cinemas on March 25, 26, and 27 as part of the 'Grande Arte al Cinema' series. Directed by Claudio Poli, based on a subject by Marco Goldin and Matteo Moneta (who also wrote the screenplay), the docu-film is produced by 3D Produzioni and Nexo Digital with support from Intesa Sanpaolo. It features a special appearance by Adriano Giannini and an original soundtrack by composer and pianist Remo Anzovino. The film traces Gauguin's biography and his quest for authenticity in the tropics, where he lived from 1891 until his death, immersing himself in lush nature and vibrant colors. It guides viewers through locations Gauguin chose as his adopted homeland and major American museums housing his masterpieces: the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the Chicago Art Institute, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
