Gardiner Museum Ground Floor Renovation by Montgomery Sisam Architects and Andrew Jones Design
In 2025, the Gardiner Museum unveiled its renovated ground floor, a project spearheaded by Montgomery Sisam Architects alongside Andrew Jones Design, emphasizing Accessibility, Connectivity, and Indigeneity. Spanning 800 m², the renovation enhances movement and visual links throughout the space, while also establishing the museum's inaugural permanent gallery for Indigenous ceramics. This gallery was crafted by Chris Cornelius from studio:indigenous and curated by Franchesca Hebert‑Spence, who holds the title of the first Curator of Indigenous Ceramics. The overall curation was managed by Susanna Moreira, with photography by Salina Kassam.
