Game of Thrones Immersive Exhibition Opens in Paris
An immersive exhibition dedicated to the television series Game of Thrones is on display at Paris Expo in Paris, France, until September 2, 2018. Spanning 2,000 square meters, the show features sets, costumes, props, and interactive experiences allowing visitors to fight alongside Jon Snow and the Night's Watch, kneel before Daenerys Targaryen and her Unsullied army, or plot with Cersei Lannister. The exhibition is part of a touring show. At the opening, actors Carice van Houten (Melisandre), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark), Ian Beattie (Meryn Trant), and costume designer Michele Clapton were present, sharing anecdotes about the series. Game of Thrones, created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss for HBO, is based on George R.R. Martin's book series A Song of Ice and Fire. It has won 38 Emmy Awards from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and has millions of fans worldwide. The eighth and final season is expected in 2019. A beer named after protagonist Jon Snow has also been produced.
