Gallery Isabelle Marks 20 Years with 20-Day Exhibition

Gallery Isabelle in Dubai celebrates its 20th anniversary with 'Move, pause, return', a 20-day exhibition from 23 March to 11 April 2026. One artwork is unveiled each day, culminating in a gathering on 11 April. The show features 20 artists including Hassan Sharif, Bahman Jalali, Mohammed Kazem, and others, with each work accompanied by a short note from emerging curators and writers. Founded by Isabelle de Caters in 2006 in Al Quoz 1 Industrial Area (B21), the gallery relocated to Alserkal Avenue in 2010. De Caters emphasized that the gallery grew organically from encounters with artists, not a long-term plan. The exhibition explores how meaning accumulates through movement, pause, and return, with artworks gathering significance over time. Participating writers include Duygu Demir, Osemudiamen Ekore, and Rahel Aima.
