Gallerie d’Italia Autumn 2022 Exhibitions: From Pigafetta to Crewdson
The Gallerie d’Italia museum network, part of Intesa Sanpaolo, has unveiled its autumn schedule for locations in Vicenza, Milan, Turin, and Naples. In Vicenza, the exhibition 'Pigafetta e la prima navigazione attorno al mondo' will be on display from September 6 to December 8, with curation by Valeria Cafà and Andrea Canova. Milan will showcase Gabriella Benedini's 'Athanor' starting September 15, curated by Paolo Bolpagni. Turin will host 'Lisetta Carmi. Suonare forte' beginning September 22, curated by Giovanni Battista Martini, while Gregory Crewdson's 'Eveningside' opens on October 12, curated by Jean-Charles Vergne. Milan's major exhibition, 'Mecenati, collezionisti, filantropi,' runs from November 18 to March 26, 2023. Naples will feature 'Artemisia Gentileschi' from December 3, curated by Antonio Ernesto Denunzio and Giuseppe Porzio. Director Michele Coppola highlights the modern significance of photography.
