Galleria z2o Sara Zanin Opens New Rome Space in Testaccio

exhibition · 2026-04-26

The z2o Sara Zanin gallery in Rome is moving to a new location at Via Alessandro Volta 34, set to open on March 16, 2024. After a decade at its previous site, the gallery, designed by Bevilacqua Architects, aims to provide a larger, more functional environment for site-specific exhibitions and research, addressing challenges like overtourism and the decline in the historic center's population. The new venue will work in conjunction with the z2o Project space on Via Pontelli. The opening exhibition, titled 'Contrappunti,' will showcase one piece from each of the 22 participating artists, including Evgeny Antufiev and Mariella Bettineschi, symbolizing harmony in diversity while preserving each space's unique character.
