Galleria Vik Milano: 89 artist-decorated rooms in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele
Galleria Vik Milano has officially launched in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, taking the place of the previous Townhouse Galleria hotel. This five-star establishment, owned by collectors Alexander and Carrie Vik, who split their time between New York and Montecarlo and also operate a hotel chain in Uruguay, features 89 rooms across five floors, each uniquely adorned by contemporary artists. Notable Italian artists include Aldo Damioli, Alessandro Papetti, and Marco Petrus, among others, while international talents such as Liu Bolin and Julian Lennon add to the collection. A significant mural by Alex Folla is a highlight, and Room 210 serves as a rotating exhibition space, currently showcasing Tomoko Nagao's Women in Pop until November 15, 2020. The ground-floor bar-restaurant, Vikissimo, regularly updates its display of over 50 artworks and welcomes visitors for coffee and co-working.
