Galleria Subalpina in Turin hosts photography exhibition for its cultural relaunch
The Galleria Subalpina, a 19th-century landmark in Turin, is experiencing a resurgence following a partial ownership change involving a textile entrepreneur. This historic site, which includes the Baratti & Milano café and Cinema Romano, will kick off cultural programming with the exhibition "Nuovi Sguardi" (New Perspectives), running until May 20, 2025. Featuring works by students from the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), the exhibition showcases Piedmontese businesses and is organized in collaboration with Exclusive Brands Torino, established in 2011. It addresses themes of inclusivity, sustainability, innovation, tradition, and territory. Giulio Trombetta, President of Exclusive Brands Torino, emphasized the initiative's goal to involve all thirty companies in the network. Designed by Pietro Carrera, the Galleria was inaugurated in 1874 and aims to become a cultural center.
