Galleria Siotto Opens in Cagliari's Historic Palazzo Siotto

Cagliari's Palazzo Siotto has unveiled the Siotto Contemporary Art Gallery, which was formerly the Siotto Foundation. The renovation of the ground-floor spaces, which served as a library for over two decades, was led by artistic director Francesco Accardo, who drew inspiration from pianist Irma Toudjian. The gallery boasts five rooms filled with natural light, featuring original 1920s cementine flooring and gray resin. Accardo's restoration efforts were aided by Alice Deledda, Alessandro Congiu, Michela Mossa, and Beatrice Schivo. Aiming to attract a diverse audience, the gallery collaborates with Liceo Artistico di Cagliari and organizations like Suoni e Pause and FAI. Its opening exhibition highlights the work of Angelo Liberati, curated by Luisa Figari. The gallery will be closed in July and August, reopening in September with exhibitions by Davide Volponi, Ruben Mureddu, and Marcello Simeone.
