Galleria Simóndiog in Turin Opens Group Show on Ecological Identity

The second edition of Post Scriptum at Galleria Simóndiog in Turin presents 'Habitat: Antichi legami futuri dialoghi', a group exhibition exploring the rational space of being through ecological and relational networks. Curated by Grazia Nuzzi, the show features four artists: Marguerite Kahrl, Alessandro Manfrin, Marjetica Potrč, and Eugenio Tibaldi. The exhibition moves from theoretical identity to practical implementation, proposing a new way of belonging to the earth. The first room features Alessandro Manfrin's 'Solo' (2023), a metal tube emitting an urban call, paired with Eugenio Tibaldi's 'Untitle with flag' (2018), a flag supported by a fishing rod and moved by a fan, symbolizing humanity's mechanical attempt to generate natural events. The second room shifts to an ancient narrative where human skin merges with mother earth, with works by Kahrl and Potrč offering concrete perspectives to address contemporary planetary imbalance. The third room synthesizes reality and utopia, urban architecture and ecosystem, centered on Manfrin's 'Hard Work Soft Dreams' (2023) series of urban mattresses that intrude into the real picture, acting as a capitalist slogan inviting hard work and quiet dreams. The exhibition runs from September 2024 at Galleria Simóndiog in Turin, Italy.
