Galleria Sabauda Unveils Nine New Sections for Piedmontese Renaissance Masters

The Musei Reali di Torino's Galleria Sabauda has unveiled a reinstallation focused on Renaissance artists from Piedmont, following a two-year accessibility initiative supported by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism. Covering an area of 380 square meters, the exhibition features around fifty pieces ranging from the mid-14th century to Mannerism, organized into nine distinct sections. Noteworthy items include the tomb slab of knight Giacotto Provana and works by renowned artists such as Giovanni Martino Spanzotti, Macrino d'Alba, Defendente Ferrari, Pietro Grammorseo, and Gaudenzio Ferrari. Additionally, a multimedia section provides interactive experiences. Director Enrica Pagella highlighted the completion of the museum's initial phase, with aspirations to rival leading global institutions.
