Galleria Nazionale di Roma and Pinacoteca di Brera Sign Historic Agreement

institutional · 2026-04-26

An agreement has been established between the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (GNAM) in Rome and the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan to work together on various projects beginning in December 2024, with support from Banca Ifis. The inaugural project will be a significant exhibition focused on Mario Ceroli (born 1938), featuring a unique installation named "Venezia" at Palazzo Citterio in Milan, curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi. This installation, resembling a "wooden Stonehenge," pays tribute to Venice and its lagoon structures. In the spring of 2025, the exhibition will transition to GNAM, where additional works by Ceroli will be displayed. This partnership follows a recent collaboration with Fondazione Federico II in Palermo, with Banca Ifis promoting Italian cultural heritage through this effort.
