Galleria Fumagalli launches LOFT experimental space in Milan

Galleria Fumagalli, a contemporary art gallery in Milan's Porta Nuova district for thirty years, has launched a new project called LOFT – Light On Future Topics. The initiative, inaugurated on September 13, 2023, creates a dedicated area for experimentation, research, and multidisciplinary practice alongside the gallery's canonical activities. The first exhibition, titled "Non perdere il sentiero per via degli alberi" (Don't miss the path because of the trees), was conceived by Annamaria Maggi and Massimo Zanello, curated by Maria Vittoria Baravelli, an art sharer known on social media. The exhibition brings together five artists from diverse backgrounds: Alberonero (Milan, 1991), Hisayuki Amae (Kanagawa, Japan, 1974), Clara Cebrián (Madrid, 1991), Luigi Pensa (Turin, 2001), and Costanza Starrabba (Ancona, 1995). Their works span digital painting, nature-artificiality correlations, design, ceramic painting, and craft techniques. The show explores the concept of a garden as a neutral space for artistic exchange, featuring a collaborative ten-hand installation. The exhibition runs from September 13 to October 13, 2023 at Galleria Fumagalli.
