Galleria Edieuropa Celebrates Pino Pascali's Playful Irony in Rome

exhibition · 2026-05-04

Pino Pascali (Bari, 1935 – Rome, 1968) died in a tragic car accident at just over thirty years old. He studied under Toti Scialoja at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, worked at RAI as an assistant set designer and collaborator with screenwriter Sandro Lodolo on TV jingles and ads for Carosello, and frequented the Rosati café, part of the so-called Scuola di Piazza del Popolo. Galleria Edieuropa—active under another name in those years—now presents a rich selection of his works, showcasing his playful, ironic inventiveness and his mercurial, Dionysian drive to experiment with diverse expressive forms and materials.
