Galleria Continua opens new Paris space in Matignon Saint-Honoré

Galleria Continua will inaugurate a second Paris location on October 14, 2024, in the Matignon Saint-Honoré district, at 108 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in the 8th arrondissement. The 70-square-meter street-level space is situated on the facade of the Bristol Hotel. This new venue joins the gallery's existing Paris outpost in the Marais and its hinterland space in Les Moulins, as well as locations in San Gimignano, Beijing, Havana, São Paulo, and Dubai. The opening coincides with Paris Art Week, centered around Art Basel Paris (October 18–20, 2024). The inaugural exhibition, titled 'Guerre et Paix,' features a trans-historical dialogue between Adel Abdessemed (born 1951, Constantine, Algeria) and Giorgio Morandi (1890–1964, Bologna), focusing on still life. The gallery will also participate in Art Basel at the Grand Palais and Asia Now at the Monnaie. The choice of Matignon Saint-Honoré reflects the area's growing importance as an art market hub, with new galleries, Sotheby's new French headquarters, and the Matignon Saint-Honoré association supporting art professionals.
