Galleria Continua now represents Eva Jospin

artist · 2026-04-27

Galleria Continua has added French artist Eva Jospin (b. 1975) to its roster, starting with a solo show at its San Gimignano space opening May 27, 2023. Jospin, a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris (2002), works across video, silk weaving, and ink drawing but is best known for intricate cardboard sculptures. Her inspirations range from Romantic painting (Caspar David Friedrich) to Gothic and Baroque architecture, and she has cited the maquettes at the Musée des Plan Reliefs in Paris as formative. In 2015 she won the Prix de l'Académie des Beaux-Arts. Major exhibitions include Inside at Palais de Tokyo (2014), Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara (2018), and Hayward Gallery (2020). Recent site-specific works include Panorama in the courtyard of the Louvre (2016) and Cenotaph at the Abbey of Montmajour (2020), both ephemeral; permanent installations include Folie at Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire (2015) and Microclima for Max Mara's flagship store in Milan (2022). For Dior, she designed the set for Maria Grazia Chiuri's autumn/winter haute couture collection (2021). For Ruinart's Carte Blanche program, she created Promenade(s), shown at Le Carreau du Temple in Paris and now touring international art fairs. Concurrently, her solo show Panorama is on view at Fondation Thalie in Brussels until July 15, 2023, and she will exhibit at the Palais des Papes in Avignon this summer.
