Galerie Gmurzynska Returns to TEFAF Maastricht with Tom Postma-Designed Stand

After a 17-year hiatus, Galerie Gmurzynska returns to TEFAF Maastricht with a stand designed by Tom Postma, showcasing abstract masterpieces from the 1910s to the 1960s. The centerpiece is Sonia Delaunay's 'Zenith', a pioneering integration of typography into art predating Pop Art by nearly half a century. Other works include pieces by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Roberto Matta, Wifredo Lam, Jean Dubuffet, and Kurt Schwitters. The exhibition highlights a dialogue between De Stijl founder Theo van Doesburg and painters Bart Van der Leck and Fernand Léger. Postma's design emphasizes luxurious materials and clean lines, inspired by early 20th-century interiors, creating a sophisticated atmosphere where architecture complements rather than competes with the art. The stand is located at booth #404, running from March 16 to March 24, 2019.
